At Nottingham Portland Swimming Club we pride ourselves on offering swimmers the chance to pursue their interest in the sport in a progressive, encouraging and friendly setting.
Founded in 1931, we are one of the longest established clubs in Nottingham, yet have retained a forward-thinking outlook and a lively, welcoming membership.
The best way to learn more about our club is to browse the site – you will probably find our News page a good place to start.
If you want to know what level of swimming ability is needed to join a Portland swimming squad, please take a look at our How To Join page, where you will find our entry requirements and information on how to arrange a trial.
In addition to squad training for children and young adults, we also run a Masters Session on a pay-as-you-go basis, open to swimmers aged 16 and over who are keen to improve technique, speed or general fitness.
If after reading the pages recommended above you have any other questions, please email our Membership Officer at [email protected].
Mission Statement
Nottingham Portland SC aims to provide a structured learning environment in which all swimmers are given the opportunity to develop, grow and succeed. Every individual has the right to reach his or her full potential and the club upholds a positive atmosphere to make this possible. We work hard to maintain a supportive attitude and a high degree of sportsmanship amongst all our athletes.
