Saturday 17th of November
Only two Portland swimmers where battling at the Major Oak – Ryan Piggott and Jade Kennerell. Not fazed by the challenge, both swimmers had entered several events.
First up was Ryan in sessions 1 and 2, with a 200 IM and a new PB followed suit. Next was his 100m back, stroke again achieving a PB. Ryan, in a positive mood, finished his last race of the day with the 200m Free, achieving a hat trick of PB’s.
Jade followed in session 3 with a 200 free and 100 Back, just missing her PBs in both races. Her final race of the day was the 50 breast where she again just missed out on her PB but achieved second place and a new trophy to add to the pile.
Sunday 18th November
Jade started the day early with 200IM and 100 breast, just missing out on her PBs, after which she was finished for the day.
Ryan raced in session 5, his only race of the day, a 400 free, achieving a massive 15 second PB – what a star!
Well done Ryan and Jade; you looked good in purple and white this weekend and did the club proud.
