A fantastic well done to Jaime and Olivia Misiuda for winning 3rd place medals in the National Cross Country Relay Championships!

Here’s their Rushcliffe Athletics Club report:

WOW! NATIONAL MEDALLISTS!!!!!!!

An amazing day at today’s National XC relays. First race up was the U13G. Jaime Misiuda got the team off to a great start, battling through the elbows and pushing of the first leg to hand over to Maya Todd-McIntyre in 6th place. Maya then went into overdrive to emerge from the woods in second place and, with some mighty encouragement, she caught the leader in the run in to the second change over to set Olivia off with a slender lead. Charnwood and Liverpool had their big guns out on the third leg and pulled ahead slightly, but Liv battled strongly to maintain a medal position, just a few metres behind.

These girls are utterly amazing – great talents and a huge inspiration. I received so many positive comments from spectators about their ability and attitude – a pleasure to watch and a credit to the club. Very very well done.

What a phenomenal achievement – you are indeed utterly amazing!

CONGRATULATIONS
