The last weekend of the Nottinghamshire County Championships was predicted to be full of excitement, in anticipation of the 50m freestyle sprints on Saturday and a whole day of relays on Sunday.
Portland swimmers lived up to expectations and thrilled us all with their committed, enthusiastic swimming.
Congratulations for great individual swims on Saturday to Esther Simmons, Dahlia Brinklow, Emma Horne, Alice Brumwell, Gaby Marriott, Rebecca Horne, Hannah Mackay, Madeleine Mackay, Samuel Mackay, Connor Cruickshank and Andrew de Boer.
Well done to all the Portland relay team members for supporting each other on Sunday, for your drive and determination and fantastic sprinting. You made it a very special Mother’s Day!
