What is the Annual Awards & Party Night?
The Annual Awards & Party Night takes place once a year, usually late November/early December. It is the Club’s biggest social event of the year and all members are encouraged to bring their family and friends along.
What is the format of the event?
Swimmers who take part in the Annual Club Championships in October receive certificates detailing the times that they achieved and trophies are awarded to the swimmers who came 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in each age group, with separate awards for boys & girls.
In addition, perennial trophies are awarded in a number of categories e.g. “Swimmer’s swimmer of the year”, “Most improved”, “Coaches award for best attitude towards training & outstanding performances”, “Swimmer who made the greatest effort yet not achieved success in competitions”, etc.
The presentation of awards is followed by a buffet and disco.
Where does the event take place?
The event is usually held at Edwalton Golf Club.
